Celebrating Flight Centre Travel Group’s 40^th Birthday

This year marks a special occasion for our parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG), not only in Australia but in suburban strips, shopping malls and office blocks globally, where our company operates. In 1982, 40 years ago, the first Flight Centre store opened the doors to customers in Sydney.

FCTG’s 40th birthday milestone is an acknowledgement of our Australian roots. And the birth of the iconic red and white leisure travel brand that became the catalyst for the company’s global success and brand diversification.

After being in business for four decades, FCTG consists of more than 30 corporate, retail and leisure travel brands and employs thousands of people globally.

As the corporate division of the Flight Centre brand, Flight Centre Business Travel is the only corporate brand in the group to wear Flight Centre’s globally iconic red and white colours.

Flight Centre Business Travel was established in 2012 as a single business located in Spring Hill, Brisbane. Since our start a decade ago, our business has grown to multiple booking offices across Australia to service the unique travel requirements of emerging to medium businesses.
